Something that might help if you're looking to start embroidering would be an embroidery stand, because it can be quite hard on your fingers to hold the hoop while you're working on it. And as for patterns, I'd say check your local craft store, or maybe have a look around on the internet for one that you like? I just had a quick look on ebay.com and there are some nice ones. Very, very cool! You did one helluva job. I have embroidered and cross stitched for many moons and the the thought to do something like this never occurred to me until recently.
