Yep. If they want to stick with the 3/3/3 formula I would genuinely add 3 years and 'still seeing new relaxed characteristics coming through' or something. I've had many rescue dogs, the most recent is the one who has clearly been through the most. He's scarred and it was two to three years before he even wagged his tail. 5 years before he started showing his belly for us to tickle. Now he wags his tail when he say his name or are clearly talking to him. We have had him 7 years. Some dogs are a life long project - but they are SO worth it! I love my messed up anxious little guy.
