When I was 16 I was visiting in Ohio and decided I wanted to stay instead of going back to Tennessee with my dad. Well one day I was arguing with my much younger brother and my mom but not biological, said to me " why do you have to be mean to him because he's my real kid and your not" . I called my dad that night and he drove up and brought me back home to Tennessee that next day.

To me, your forced to go back to how it used to be. Humans were socially driven, not cellphone socially driven meaning the bonds and moments made with other people were organic and natural. To escape hardships, even temporarily mentally, we gravitated towards each other. It takes a village to raise us all . And now our codependency is not for energy or the feeling of the living, it's instant technological escape. Money can buy an endless amount of that, therefore it's tied to happiness sometimes. It's nothing more than distraction. Money cannot buy what hardship or "poverty" can reep. From sadness comes love, love built shacks into homes. Money will build houses.

Same, I see mine as a separate part of myself, not an enemy just part of me. To an extent "you can't pick your family" same concept I was born with a mind that can sometimes weigh heavy, but I hope and think as we age we simply learn to cohabitate. 🌞

That fear of coming home just for the sake of not knowing your significant other’s mood and being extra cautious to not trigger anything in any way. Then struggling to find out if it’s a good day and I am expected to say hi with a kiss or a bad day and I’m expected to not interrupt them at all, such a bad feeling. I am just learning to love coming home again.

God, I remember rushing home every day because if I was even 5 minutes late getting in the door, I would have to explain myself. Then I would walk in perfectly on time and he’d still be in a horrible mood. Now I can spend the whole day driving around doing absolutely nothing and I don’t have to explain it to anybody and going home is actually an enjoyable thought.
