I work in retail too & the amount of times adults “can’t read” the signs just baffles me. Like for example, if we have a promotion of buy 2 get 1 free..they will read “buy 1 get 1 free” 🤦‍♀️

It just helps lightens the workload on the cleaners and - not that we’re messy to begin with but still lol When we stayed in San Diego a few weeks ago, we just grab the stuff we need on the carts if we see the cleaners so we don’t trouble them too much since they’re already cleaning a room - with permission of course. :) Like coffee cups, sugar or trash bags. Nothing too big.

NTA. Please do not back down! I was a tomboy in my younger days and although I wore dresses here and there for “special” occasions, I hated wearing them. As I got in my teens, I never wore a dress, heck, I even wore pants & a nice shirt for my cousins wedding. I’m sure your niece will forever appreciate this gesture more. Your in laws will eventually get over it. But saying things like “dress more like a girl” constantly will hurt her more in the future because she’s not “allowed” to be herself.
