We call it a "Blair Moment", named after my older sister because she does this more than anyone else who ever lived (she actually loves that we named it after her). All of these entries fully constitute as examples of Blair Moments. Some genuine Blair Moments from the namesake include: The time she freaked out because there was "blood under her skin" (she googled what a bruise was). When she thought that King Kamehameha the 1st was alive and out greeting the commoners (we drove past his statue while in Hawaii). During the same trip she also was concerned that the queen was going to get mad at us for taking pictures in front of the palace. The queen…of Hawaii…which is a US state and has not had a queen since 1893! See why we all call them "Blair Moments" yet?

We had small bag milks for school lunch when I was in elementary school (in the US). See, I like the idea that the base emotions can evolve and become more complex (like sadness becoming empathy) as a person grows up. The core memories were shown to change and be replaced (though I also think it’s partly due to the fact that Riley's original memories all took place when she was a baby or really young so it’s unlikely that she would remember them forever) and the new memories all consisted of mixed emotions (aka more complex feelings) so I don’t see why the emotions themselves wouldn’t change over time as well.

I was sharing a hotel room with my mom, my cousin, and my cousin's (then) young child. We had just spent the day at an amusement park, and we were all going to sleep. All of a sudden, cousin’s child started screaming at the top of her lungs (scared the heck out of me and my mom btw). She was screaming and crying all while cousin was rubbing her back and assuring us that this was "normal". Kid passes back out after a few minutes, and cousin explains that she had night terrors. It can definitely be a shocking experience for outsiders to witness.

As a left-handed person, I feel extremely odd trying to use my fork/spoon in my right hand and might honestly drop food as I’m more uncoordinated with my non-dominant hand. That being said, I learned to use a knife with my right hand just fine, so I don’t swap my silverware around like you mentioned XD Also, as a lifelong American, I’ve never seen anyone do what you described. Most of us are capable of using a fork and knife and generally use the fork in our dominant hand and don’t “swap” to cut/eat.
