Such a beautiful story! God bless you both. If only there were a LOT more unprejudiced people in this cruel world. When will people EVER stop judging someone by the color of their skin, and start judging them by what's on the inside? It truly is what is on the inside that counts. Good heart, good person. Every GOOD person that has one will agree. If treated with love and kindness, these are some of the sweetest dogs ever. It's not the breed, it's the OWNERS! You'd be mean too if someone beat, kicked, and abused you! They were used as children's "nannies" years ago simply because they were so protective, loving and sweet. Mine has never met a stranger. He makes friends with people everywhere we go. He loves to kiss anyone that will let him. They are just big old goofy sweet babies. Don't euthanize Pitbulls, euthanize bad Pitbull OWNERS. Pitbulls that have been loved, cherished and respected are the very BEST! Heather is SO right. Please don't clip their ears. It takes away those big old floppy Pitbull ears! They are perfect just the way they are!
