I read a story of a lady in the Philippines who applied for a job and went to the interview...they then tricked her, took her passport and she was sent to a place in Myanmar. She was held and forced to make the scam calls, she said there were hundreds there in the same position. There's also much in the rich areas of the Middle East, they hire staff for their mansions from countries like India, Philippines, Africa etc who are poor and desperate. Once they arrive they withhold their passports and pay them very little if anything and expect them to work 24/7. No personal time. No money to send back to their families who are struggling. Modern day slavery. Plus the people trafficking.
