Artists use that type of effect on paintings sometimes, I went to a museum once when I was 11 and a lot of the paintings were like that and my dad explained it to me that they do it on purpose

yes, often when I look at a picture of a person/group of people the eyes seem to follow me

Exactly. This effect does not just occur in paintings, but works also with photos.

The impression that the eyes of a person in a painting are following you, is a common optical illusion, due to the two dimensional nature of the artwork. You can see the illusion in every portrait where the subject looks at the viewer. That's why everytime I see the claim: "Oooooh, that portrait is spooky, haunted, cursed because the eyes follow the viewer" I nod and think: Yeah, the magic of perspective and optical illusions.

It's not about being bothered, but being happy, to finally have a chair with the arm desk for left handers. That's like finding a unicorn.

Agree with the spiral notebooks. I try to avoid them. But when I have one, I draw in them from back to front. So, that I have the spirals on the right side.

a tale of passion and chyropractice...

It makes me a little bit angry when people think that we don't have homework in Finland... I just spent 5 hours doing my homework. But I guess it doesn't count because I live in Finland :D
