They now must have permits and permission to have eagle feathers, whereas before invasion this wasn't necessary. Sincerely, a half-Native member of the Eagle Clan of the Tlingit Tribe. And yeah, I've been on the US Eagle repository list for years. Edit: eagles whose feathers and parts are distributed to Tribal members, of all Tribes, have díed of natural causes. They are NEVER hunted or kílled intentionally. As it has always been, as it should be.

Those are the robes of a high ranking wizard in the K*K. Yikes. Found out about that when I lived in North Carolina. The Klan used to organize marches around the Capitol in Raleigh. I knew some interns who worked in the Capitol, and asked them about one Klan member I saw wearing a red sheet instead of white. BTW, at that time (the 1980s and 1990s, locals in Raleigh adopted the attitude of ignoring them like they weren’t there. Since they couldn’t rile anyone up or get on TV anymore, their “rallies” turned into a couple beat up pickup trucks with a few people walking around the grounds a couple times, then leaving. No fights, no scandals, no news cameras. Eventually they stopped trying. But that was 30-ish years ago, before IQ89 pulled them out from under their rocks and made them feel entitled to their vileness, so I bet they’re back at it again, since MAGAts are the modern incarnation of the Klan. They just don’t hide under the sheets anymore.

I was working in a liquor store alone. The retail zone ended right by a quiet residential street. Suddenly, the street was blocked off. Cops and fire trucks and an ambulance were there. Customers, stuck, asked me what was happening. "No idea, but it must be BAD." A woman came in. Sobbing, near hysterical. A teenager she'd baby-sat when he was a kid decided to challenge another kid--who he'd never seen before--to a motorcycle race. An old lady in her Lincoln pulled out of a blind side street. The kids were going so fast, no one had time to react. I told her "I'll only sell you this bottle if you PROMISE to only drink it while on the phone with somebody who can help." She agreed, still crying. On my way home, I had to go that way. The cops had left a chalk outline of where the motorcycle landed. A dozen feet away from that, where his body had landed. Another 20 feet--where his HEAD landed. Don't drive motorcycles, guys. Unless you realize you're on a 120MPH bicycle.

Ugh, this just reminded me that I avoid eating elongated foods in public. I finally have a Costco membership after not having one for several years, and I want one of their dang hot dogs, but don't want to eat one in public. At work the other day it was hot and the kids got popsicles, I wanted to eat a Popsicle, but didn't want to physically eat a Popsicle in public. I suspect many more people who were gay married "straight" and had families just because being openly gay was frowned upon (and in places criminalized) and their family, friends, colleagues etc never knew... My mom had a cousin who committed suícide in the 80s, because he was gay but went through the charade of marrying a woman and having kids, then just couldn't take it anymore... 😞 Absolutely heartbreaking. I'm glad so much progress has been made and people are more free to live as themselves. But a lot of hàte still exists, unfortunately. RIP Scott
