I’m pretty sure that’s about a different case. That story is about the 1928 Wineville chick coop murders and the dissappearance of Walter Collin’s (a victim). Some other boy claimed to be Walter Collins after his murder but before they knew he was dead. Close enough case but not the same

There's a lot of mixed info. Some claiming that the kid recognized the family and shouted mother when he saw the Dunbars, while others said he never recognized the Dunbars. The mother also said that he recognized his moles and scars of his son. There is also the second angle of someone named Julia Anderson claimed that it was actually her son, but rumors started getting spread that she didn't recognized Bobby on the first attempt. Also Julia didn't have the best reputation, so the newspapers would dismiss her claim. The claim was fought in court with many claims and witnesses for both sides, but as the Walters and Andersons didn't have enough money to keep the court case active for long. Dunbar supposedly stated that one day while passing the town he said "those are the people they came to pick me up from", which I'm not sure what that means, but he didn't seem to state any family as his actual family. I'm not sure what happened but it was insane.
