The Millennial label is really incredibly broad due to how fast computers evolved. I was born in 86 to poor parents, I was not plugged into advances in technology until after I graduated high school. I did love cartoons on Saturday though, had a ninja turtle shirt that my mother had to disappear because I would not stop wearing it. Anyhow, I feel a closer affinity to Gen x because of my upbringing and my isolation from technology.

Born in the 60s, raised in the 70s, partied in the 80s and had an awesome young life that I wouldn't trade for anything. Young adult life and midlife is still just as awesome. Can't wait for retirement. Health is still pretty good, so I'm content. That's the message I'd pass along to the younger generations: look out for your health. Take care of it. Your body will thank you as you get older.

It's nice to have reached the age where when a couple of teenage girls glancing at me while whispering and giggling behind their hands no longer fills me with horror. Last time it happened I just hit them with a "right, whatever, morons" look.

And another thing! They always say, "check it out wherever you get your podcasts," but I feel like I missed the day where they told us where people get podcasts.

My husband, who works in IT, says things like this all the time. We are basically the only generation that is going to fully understand actual computers.

Learning to believe in observable and reproducible facts as opposed to online hòrseshìt or so-called "common knowledge" can also be a real boon, regardless of one's age.

I lived in an 18' trailer for 10 years. I had a dog, and a cat, and it was clean and affordable, and the Jehovah's Witnesses were never able to find me. (I also had a separate building right next to the trailer that had electricity, a flush toilet, and hot water.) Life was good until Tweakers moved in next door to me and started cooking mèth 24 hours a day.

At my school her name was Emily. Unfortunately, she was also the nicest girl in the world, so it was really hard to hate her, lol! I was sooooo jealous of her hair. I didn't get the hang of a straightening iron until high school. My mom's solution was to get my hair permed.

Thankfully I live in a country with universal healthcare, and I have no student loans. However, inflation is seriously kicking my a**e, to the point that I save about as much as I did 15 years ago, despite earning 3 times more!

That was a good time! For me that was the summer between high school graduation and first semester of college. Great, great time!

My Boomer advice to the new HS graduates..."Trades, you'll make as much as a degreed person for the most part. Then with time and a half, it's much more".

For your kitchen, hehe, and, pfff, bathromm, hahaha! I own my place, it is 30 sqare meter, my bathroom is smaller than my single bed, being 90 cm wide and 180 cm long (my bed has the same width but longer), and basically no kitchen just a hole (90 x 135 cm) with a stove and a small sink. I can never spare enough money to buy something bigger, and half of this flat was paid from an inheritance. And I dread the day when I'll have a bigger apartement.
