To Be Honest I don't know why I like this saying. Maybe nothing really isn't under control.

Don’t make a permanent decision based on temporary emotions.
Hell is full of excuses.

It sounds trite, but "It is what it is". There is the old "grant me the courage to change the things I can and accept the things I can't" saying. I just prefer the pithier version. Don't waste your life wishing things happened differently, or daydreaming about an impossible future. It is what it is, so get on with life before it is all gone.
