Grandmother of the bride passed away in the limo on the way to the ceremony...
Was a DJ at the wedding and got informed that people would be leaving after the speeches. I was told not to take offense as a DJ.
When I asked why I was informed that the grandmother of the Bride passed away on the way to the ceremony in the limo and they had not told the bride until moments before they walked in to their reception.
That night I was seated at a table with guests and they were all talking about the grandmother dying and how odd this was. One of the guests then turns to me and says "As a DJ you've probably been at lots of weddings. What's the strangest thing you've seen happen at a wedding?"
In my mind I'm like "This this is the strangest thing. Nothing tops this".
