The 1990s gave audiences a huge variety of cinema options. From the action-packed features to the angsty coming-of-age teen dramas, to the slap-stick comedy, there was no shortage of memorable scenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many actors were just getting their start in the 90s. There was a huge rise in child stars and shows on networks like Nickelodeon. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson, Jonathon Taylor Thomas, and the Lawrence Brothers became household names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was also a big grunge scene which contributed to a large group of young adult actors starting their careers as the troubled or the dark and mysterious character. River Phoenix, Winona Ryder, Kirsten Dunst, and Fairuza Balk defined this period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other actors had been in the scene for a while at this point. But the 90s became the career that they cemented their legacy. Actors like Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, and Julia Roberts carried on to become some of the most well-known actors of the time. And arguably, the 90s were their best decade of film. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
