In an interaction with Kshitij Anand of ETMarkets, Siddhartha Khemka, Head of Research, Wealth Management at Motilal Oswal Financial Services, says manufacturing and financialisation remain the two strongest structural themes for investors over the next five years.

India's real estate market is seeing a K-shaped recovery, with major developers outperforming smaller ones. Leading companies are gaining market share due to strong finances and execution, while new project launches are consolidating among well-capitalised players.

Siddhartha Khemka believes Indian markets have become increasingly stock-specific as earnings trends diverge across sectors. He remains positive on power, cables and wires, cooling products, manufacturing, and electric vehicles, while favouring select mid- and small-cap companies that continue to deliver strong earnings growth despite broader macroeconomic challenges.

India’s auto sector started FY27 on a mixed note, with passenger vehicles and tractors showing resilience while two-wheelers and commercial vehicles faced headwinds. Siddhartha Khemka remains bullish on the sector, recommending Maruti Suzuki and Samvardhana Motherson, citing strong growth visibility, healthy demand trends, and improving operational performance.

India's asset management sector is transforming with systematic investing driving growth and stability, reducing reliance on volatile discretionary capital. SIP inflows have surged, now forming a significant portion of mutual fund assets, indicating a shift towards predictable, annuity-like revenue streams. This structural change positions the industry for sustained, retail-led expansion.
