Renowned cardiologist C.N. Manjunath, Director, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, lamented on the shortage of funds for research activities in Indian universities. 

As many as 225 patients, all from weaker sections of society, got a new lease of life thanks to angioplasty workshops conducted by Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research in Bengaluru and its branches in Mysuru and Kalaburagi.

The Kalaburagi branch of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research (SJICSR), in collaboration with Dr. Govindaraju Subramani Heart Foundation, Illinois, U.S., is conducting the Indo-American Angioplasty Workshop on Saturday and Sunday.

According to a study done by the state-run Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research in Karnataka, neutralising antibodies were significantly present in all of the participants who had received the booster dose of the Covishield vaccination.
