It's the hypocrisy. They didn't want to be working royals but expect the same privileges as one. Harry has demanded the same taxpayer funded security as working royals. They're happy to use the titles of Duke and Duchess, but don't want the responsibility that comes with it. They've critised the royal family and monarchies, but the only reason they've been able to make lots of money from Netflix deals, books and podcasts in because of who his family are. If they were really concerned about outreach, they'd have been better off staying as working royals as they'd have had a much bigger platform to raise awareness of important issues. Also, let's not forget that they have been caught out in lies already. Footage from their documentary showing paparazzi turned out to be from different events that were nothing to do with them. They claimed they got married in secret before the big wedding in the back garden with the Archbishop of Canterbury, but this wouldn't be a legal ceremony in the UK. There's nothing "poor" about them. They live in a mansion in California and live off the proceeds of telling their story to the highest bidders.
