I think someone misunderstood no standardized tests to mean no tests and the legend was born. But yeah, in high school for example you're gonna do something like 75 of them (one for each course) plus some graded papers, presentations, vocabulary tests and at the end minimum of 4 usually 6 standardized graduation tests on different subjects where you have six hours to complete. And of course the final year you're going to do practice tests on earlier years standardized tests. First homework I had was first grade and it was about writing the letter A. Didn't take that long though.
