Rafco, thank you. I want to give you a big hug right now. I wrote my university anthropology thesis on the diaspora of Somali to the USA, and why immigrants are important to the diversity of culture. I visited the Somali immigrant communities in Maine and Ohio. In France, I've been enlightened by immigrants from African states who not only speak French and English, but 5 different African dialects from their State. I may be white, I may be American, and I am a woman, but I am not a racist or homophobic. And I appreciate your reply. I, too, feel frustrated by comments related to my self and my personal opinions. Please know that I do not take your responses personally, that I do respect you and your opinions. We can agree or disagree, but I enjoy the dialogue. I didn't go to Rwanda to learn French. I went for work. I picked up French while working there. I learned to speak English in the US, I immigrated here when I was young, and speak English fluently. I completely agree that women are mistreated the world over. In all countries. I'm sure you know more about that than I do. I spoke too harshly before. I was frustrated by a comment you made to me in another post, and a series of other comments that I received unrelated to you. I do indeed hope that things work out for your children. May I ask, if your children do not speak French, why stay in France? Why not bring them to the US? They will be US citizens. As to the pronoun "ele" it just means "him" in my native Portuguese.

There's a HUGE difference between having preferences and forcing those preferences on someone. And the heart of the problem is there : a large part of society imposes their views/opinions/preferences on women when it comes to body hair. You're the perfect illustration of that problem when you state "shaving shows you care about your apperance". No, no and no. That's what decades of conditionning by brands and social construct states. A woman can take great care in her appareance and chose not to shave her armpits for various reasons (that are her own, and not subject to discussion or criticism).

Are you seriously criticizing men's preferences in a female partner? Of course when men have preferences it's strange but women are allowed to have as many preferences as they want. Shaving shows you care about your appearance and is generally more attractive to men. Not "incel" behavior.
