Aww geez. Don't do this. I think the 80s had more fun with music videos. In the 90s they started to get weirdly abstract, metaphorical and serious. If not that, they just got a lot more raunchier and an excuse for the band, mainly the lead vocalist, to depict themselves like a j*****s. No wonder music channels implemented music video snarky shows like Ed's Fromage and Video On Trial.

I only go to small shows, because that's all I can afford. Most recently, I saw Shudder to Think and FEAR (Lee Ving kept forgetting the lyrics), and will be seeing Angine de Poitrine in November. My best advice as a musician and music lover is to expand your horizons. Check out indie bands, stuff that was 'before your time', stuff you think is 'after your time', and genres you think you dislike. You'll be surprised at how much good music is out there.

Indeed. I wouldn't know a Taylor Swift or a Dua Lipa song if you slapped me round the face with it, and while I know I 've heard at least one song from the Lion King, never heard of the other, but I would not have clocked it as a musical from the name.
