In January, Bears general manager Ryan Poles was a little sheepish about having the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 draft after the Bears lost their final 10 games to finish 3-14. But he has to be feeling a little better about it today.

Had the Bears won four of the games they lost by five points or less in 2022 — vs. the Commanders (12-7), Dolphins (35-32), Lions (31-30) and Falcons (27-24), the Bears would have finished 7-10 and had the No. 13 overall pick in the draft.
