CHENNAI: A special court to deal with Explosives Act cases has acquitted two accused from Madurai who were arrested by the Q branch police after explosives were seized from Piranmalai hills in Sivaganga in 2015.
Police arrested S Abbas Mydeen (40) and M Mubarak (21) of Melur, Madurai and later included M Mohammed Mubarak of Theppakulam in Madurai too in the chargesheet. The prosecution said a person running a Tasmac bar in Sivaganga town had asked the local mosque authorities to reduce volume of speakers which led to a duel between the groups.
