NEW DELHI: Openers David Warner and Usman Khawaja raised a gritty partnership on an eventful morning as Australia reached to 73 for 1 at lunch on Day 1 of the second Ashes Test against England at Lord's on Wednesday.
After an ordinary first Test, Warner notched up his 35th Test fifty in the morning session as he looked fluent in overcast conditions. Usman Khawaja too looked cautious but was knocked over by Josh Tongue for 17 just before the break.
