The 97th Academy Awards nominations are set to be announced on Thursday morning after being delayed twice due to devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. The nominations will be revealed at 8:30am ET through various platforms, including Oscar.com, Oscars.org, social media, 'Good Morning America,' Disney+, and Hulu. Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott will announce the nominees.

The wildfires that ravaged parts of Los Angeles prompted the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences to extend the voting window and reschedule the nominations announcement. Despite calls to cancel the Oscars, the academy is determined to proceed with the ceremony as a symbol of resilience for the film industry and Los Angeles.
