NEW DELHI: Afghanistan's cricket board has extended head coach Jonathan Trott's contract for an additional year in acknowledgment of his significant contributions to the team's progress and success.

Trott, the former England batter, took over as head coach in July 2022, and his 18-month tenure, which concluded in 2023, has been marked by remarkable achievements for the Afghanistan cricket team.
