A man who allegedly sprayed a busy street with up to 100 bullets has himself been hit with a barrage of new charges over the two-hour stand-off with police.

Artemios Mintzas, 61, is accused of peppering a busy Sydney shopping strip with bullets in October, leaving one person seriously injured and sparking a shootout with officers.
