A tragic turn of events unfolded in the Altadena community of Los Angeles County just before Christmas when Florence Kerns-Wilson and her wife, along with their 2-year-old daughter, experienced the destructive force of the Eaton Fire. The family had recently moved into their new home, filled with hopes and dreams of a bright future in their welcoming neighborhood.
However, their joy quickly turned to despair as the flames engulfed their home, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs and a few precious belongings. Kerns-Wilson recounted the harrowing experience of narrowly escaping the inferno with their loved ones and pets, while witnessing their once-beautiful home reduced to smoldering ashes.
