Canada's Bianca Andreescu has climbed off the canvas to oust Spaniard Garbine Muguruza from the first Adelaide International in round one play.

Andreescu, the 2019 US Open champion, trailed 0-6 2-5 before rallying to post a 0-6 7-6 (7-3) 6-1 victory.
