The Phantom of the Opera writer announced his son Nick Lloyd Webber has died aged 43. Nick passed away following an 18-month-long battle with cancer.

In an emotional statement, Andrew said: "I am shattered to have to announce that my beloved elder son Nick died a few hours ago in Basingstoke Hospital.
