Oh no: "There's an argument that some make that this is a very unique political window and, oftentimes in politics, you do only get one shot," Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D–N.Y.) told The New York Times in a just-released interview, where she publicly mulls a presidential run. "And you don't—and just in life in general—life doesn't wait for you to be ready for things. Sometimes life just makes things ready for you."
Ocasio-Cortez, after almost eight years in Congress as a U.S. representative for Queens and the Bronx and many, many fawning news cycles in which her democratic socialist views are received rather warmly, is now considering either a run for president or going after Chuck Schumer's Senate seat. Either one would be an elevation—but also a risk.
