Bahrain successfully carried out a nationwide test of its Emergency Alert System on Saturday night, with mobile phones and smart devices across the country receiving alerts as part of a planned trial to strengthen public safety preparedness.
The test was conducted at 9:30 pm by the Ministry of Interior and covered all mobile phones and smart devices in Bahrain. Authorities said the exercise was aimed at confirming the system’s readiness and ensuring that emergency notifications can be delivered effectively to the public during critical situations.
