CHENNAI: The battle between conservation and conflict has come to the fore yet again following the Madras high court order to ban heavy vehicles from 6pm to 6am within the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve, between Bannari and Karappallam.

At last there is a light at the end of the tunnel, is the expression that conservationists from Coimbatore and Erode are identifying with when talking about the Madras high court order. But on the other hand, villagers living near the forest are enraged at being cut off for 12 hours.
