  • Actor Georgina Cates, best known for her role as Jenny Porter in the BBC series 2point4 Children , has died at the age of 51.
  • The English actor died on 6 May, but the news is only just being made public. No cause of death has officially been provided.
  • Cates, born Clare Elaine Woodgate in Essex, was married to actor Skeet Ulrich from 1997 to 2005; the pair had two children, Naiia and Jakob Ulrich, who are also actors.
  • Naiia wrote on Instagram: “My beautiful, free-spirited mom lived a hard life and still found ways to make herself and others laugh and smile ... now she can rest easy.”
  • Andrew Marshall, the creator of 2point4 Children , remembered Cates as “lovely and talented”.
