Mike Love is taking a break from touring with the Beach Boys

The Beach Boys have cancelled the rest of their summer shows to give Mike Love the chance to "recharge" before the tour continues.

Mike, 85, is the only original member of the group which tours under the name the Beach Boys and they have been playing a huge tour this year to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of 1996 record Pet Sounds. However, they have now called off almost 30 dates in the US over the next six weeks so Mike can rest before the tour restarts in September.
