The Sudanese suspect in the Belfast knife attack entered the UK across the Irish border having flown to Dublin from Paris, police have said.
Police Service of Northern Ireland Chief Constable Jon Boutcher has outlined details of the route the man took to enter Northern Ireland in 2023, where he claimed asylum upon arrival. He was granted leave to remain in the UK until 2028.
