HISTORICAL FACTS: Below average rainfall in brazil supports coffee prices - Caught on Camera

March arabica coffee (KCH25) today is up +8.40 (+2.63%), and January ICE robusta coffee (RMF25) is up +39 (+0.75%).

Coffee prices today are moderately higher on below-average rainfall in Brazil, which may reduce the country's coffee output.  Somar Meteorologia reported today that rainfall in Brazil's biggest arabica coffee growing area of Minas Gerais received 35.2 mm of rain last week, or only 65% of the historical average.  Minas Gerais is Brazil's largest arabica coffee-producing area.
