Many retailers are offering discounts to people working in certain jobs. Asda is the latest to announce it will reinstate its previous deal for Blue Light Card holders, giving them 10 per cent off.
Many stores had similar offers during the height of the pandemic, recognising the pressure emergency service workers were under.
The Asda announcement means people who work in the NHS, Emergency Services, Social Services, Social care sector and armed forces will be able to get the discount if they have a Blue Light Card and present it when they come to pay.
