Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt has proposed amendments to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) Act to allow the city to levy new local taxes on cigarettes, hotels and fuel.
The move is aimed at strengthening the long-term fiscal capacity of the capital.
