The future of a major Wirral housing project has been secured after its original developer collapsed.
Wirral Waters’ East Float neighbourhood was set to deliver around modular 350 homes, but the future of the development became uncertain after House by Urban Splash, the lead developer, went into administration with only a handful of the homes delivered to site. Following the collapse, Peel L&P have now confirmed they will take over the housing scheme from the modular house builder.
Peel L&P is also leading on the wider Wirral Waters regeneration project which is looking to deliver a range of new homes , office and commercial space within Birkenhead’s docklands. The joint venture between Peel L&P and House By Urban Splash, a property developer, had so far delivered 30 state-of-the-art modular homes at East Float within the Northbank neighbourhood , with more in the works.
