Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of free agent defender Serge Aurier, subject to visa approval.
The 29-year-old becomes the Reds’ 22nd addition of a busy summer. The number of signings is a British record for a single transfer window.
Boss Steve Cooper was keen to ensure Forest finished the transfer window with sufficient strength in depth across the pitch, as they look to navigate the challenges of the Premier League. Aurier, who was previously at Villarreal, will provide cover and competition for Neco Williams at right wing-back, and can also operate on the opposite flank.
