MYSTERIOUS: Broncos expected to re sign offensive lineman quinn bailey - What They Never Told You

The Denver Broncos are expected to re-sign offensive lineman Quinn Bailey, according to the Denver Gazette‘s Chris Tomasson, but the method used to re-sign Bailey remains uncertain.

Bailey, 28, is a restricted free agent, so Denver could place a one-year tender on him worth $2.985 million. That would be a notable increase from the $940,000 Bailey earned in 2023, and perhaps too rich for the cap-poor Broncos.

Alternatively, Denver could not place a tender on Bailey and hope to re-sign him for less than the $2.985 million tender price. Doing that would allow Bailey to test free agency, but no team would sign a backup to a big contract.

The league minimum for a player with three years of experience like Bailey is $1.055 million, less than the tender but more than last year’s salary. Perhaps there’s a middle ground the two sides can reach to get a deal done.

Bailey has dressed for 25 games over the last two season, earning two starts. He is a backup swing guard/tackle who originally joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State in 2019.
