Celtic-linked Manchester United defender Tyler Fredricson is reportedly expected to depart Old Trafford permanently this summer.
The 21-year-old has two years remaining on his deal at the Old Trafford club.
Fredricson's switch to Parkhead in January was scuppered after an ill-timed injury, claims the BBC, who now say he will leave United permanently this summer, with Europe a likely destination.
A centre-back, Fredricson has made four competitive appearances for United since coming through their academy.
Celtic recently sold defender Maik Nawrocki to Ligue 1 outfit Lens, but Martin O'Neill appears content with his centre-half options of Cameron Carter-Vickers, Auston Trusty, Liam Scales, and Dane Murray.

Yesterday, it was confirmed the Parkhead club won't be re-signing either of Kelechi Iheanacho or Marcelo Saracchi.
Iheanacho joined Bursaspor in Turkey's second tier, with Saracchi confirming via Instagram that a Parkhead return isn't on the cards.
"Dear Celtic fans, I'm writing this to say goodbye. We had an intense, beautiful year together where we achieved so many of our goals," said the left-back.
"My agent and I did absolutely everything within our power to make a return to Glasgow happen.
"I'm truly gutted that I won't be able to continue at the club at this stage of my career. However, I know our paths will cross again in the future.
"I wish you all nothing but the best for what's ahead. Thank you for everything."
