This 2024 photo captures Deyvison De Los Santos of the Cleveland Guardians baseball team, reflecting the team's active roster as of February 22, 2024, in Goodyear, Arizona. The Guardians are known for their talented infielders and outfielders, but they have struggled offensively in recent seasons.
In the previous year, the Guardians ranked 27th in Major League Baseball for runs scored, with only 662 runs. Their 124 home runs were the fewest in the league, highlighting the need for offensive improvement. Despite fan expectations for impactful hitters, the team's offseason acquisitions were outfielder Estevan Florial from the New York Yankees and first baseman Deyvison De Los Santos from the Arizona Cardinals.
