December ICE NY cocoa (CCZ26) closed down -181 (-3.24%) on Tuesday, and December ICE London cocoa #7 (CAZ26) closed down -129 (-3.09%).
Cocoa prices settled sharply lower on Tuesday as a rally in the dollar index ($DXY) to a 2-month high spurred long liquidation in cocoa futures. Cocoa prices were already on the defensive from Monday on signs of abundant cocoa supplies from the Ivory Coast. According to Ivory Coast government data, farmers shipped 2.18 MMT of cocoa to ports in the current international cocoa marketing year (October 1, 2025, through September 27, 2026), up +19.8% from the year-earlier period.
