May arabica coffee (KCK25) today is up +3.80 (+1.00%), and May ICE robusta coffee (RMK25) is up +20 (+0.37%).

Coffee prices today are trading higher as a weaker dollar has prompted short-covering in coffee futures.  Coffee prices have been on the defensive the past two sessions, with arabica falling to a 1-month nearest-futures low on Thursday and robusta dropping to a 2-1/4 month nearest-futures low.  Coffee prices retreated on forecasts for rain in Brazil that would ease dryness concerns.  Meteorologist Climatempo has forecasted widespread showers for Brazil's coffee-growing regions into next week.
