EXPLAINED: Coffee prices mixed on dollar strength | Vintage Vibes

Dec arabica coffee (KCZ23) this morning is down -0.80 (-0.52%), and Nov ICE robusta coffee (RMX23) is up +26 (+1.08%).

Coffee prices this morning are mixed, with robusta posting a 1-week high.  Today's rally in the dollar index (DXY00) to a 2-1/2 month high is weighing on arabica prices.  However, signs of shrinking supplies are lifting robusta prices as ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories today fell to a record low of 3,408 lots (data history back to 2016).
