BIZARRE: Coffee prices settle lower on dollar strength and higher inventories - What They Never Told You

May arabica coffee (KCK25) Thursday closed down -0.55 (-0.15%), and May ICE robusta coffee (RMK25) closed down -135 (-2.51%).

Coffee prices on Thursday settled lower and came under pressure from a stronger dollar (DXY00).  An increase in current coffee supplies also weighed on prices after ICE-monitored arabica coffee inventories rose to a 1-month high Thursday of 795,588 bags, and ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories rose to a 1-week high of 4,272 lots.
