Hervé Renard launched his second spell as Côte d’Ivoire head coach with a 2-0 victory over Ghana in the first qualifying game for next year's Africa Cup of Nations in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

The 20-year-old Brighton midfielder Malick Yalcouyé scored on his international debut just before half time at the Stade de la Paix in Bouaké.
