The family of a Newry teenager who was diagnosed with blood cancer in June has shared the news that he's been matched with a suitable donor.
Daniel Greer was diagnosed with leukaemia after complaining of a sore back and neck - the disease began to spread rapidly and aggressively. The 14-year-old's family soon launched a major campaign, called 'Do it for Daniel', encouraging the public to join the stem cell donor register - a bone marrow transplant is Daniel's only chance of beating the disease.
On Tuesday, in a statement issued by the young man's family, they said they there is still a long way to go, but that they hope it is now "all systems go".
