NEW DELHI: After his meeting with protesting wrestlers during which the government agreed to meet several of their demands, Union sports minister Anurag Thakur said talks were positive and all decisions were "arrived at unanimously" and that the discussions took place in a cordial atmosphere.
"The wrestlers have demanded that the investigation should be concluded, and a chargesheet be filed by June 15. The chargesheet will be filed by June 15 and the WFI elections will be held by June 30. WFI will have an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) headed by a woman. Also, two names of coaches have been suggested by the wrestlers who will be part of the ad hoc committee for technical assistance. All these decisions on demands/suggestions were taken by consensus," Thakur said.
